How it works
Raising pre-flop wins the pot when everyone folds and builds a bigger pot with strong hands. Limping surrenders initiative.
Betting pattern
Online cash: 2–3x BB open. Live cash: 3–5x. Tournaments: ~2–2.5x. Example $1/$2 live: $8–$12 opens. Raise strong hands; avoid random min-raises and over-calling.
Bankroll / drawdown risk
Aggressive pre-flop adds short-term swings but improves long-term control.
